Valence (“Valence,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides AI due diligence services for private equity and M&A professionals. Our website is located at valencedesk.com. Our contact address is team@valencedesk.com.

We collect information you provide directly when you:

• Submit an assessment request through our intake form (name, work email, firm, target company details, deal context)
• Contact us via email
• Access a report via a private link

We do not use tracking pixels, third-party advertising networks, or behavioral profiling tools. We do not sell your data.

Information collected is used solely to:

• Produce the AI readiness assessment you requested
• Communicate with you about your engagement
• Send the deliverable report to the email address provided
• Improve our methodology and service quality

We do not use your information for marketing to third parties, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

Any information you share about an acquisition target is treated as strictly confidential. We do not disclose target details to any third party. All team members with access to engagement data are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Reports are delivered via a private, unindexed link. Access is controlled by the uniqueness of the URL — share it only with intended recipients.

We retain engagement data (intake submissions, reports) for a period of 24 months following delivery, unless you request earlier deletion. After this period, data is permanently deleted from our systems.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing team@valencedesk.com. We will confirm deletion within 10 business days.

We use the following services to operate our platform:

• Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is transmitted to Resend solely for the purpose of delivering communications related to your engagement.
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure. Your requests are processed on Vercel’s infrastructure, subject to their data processing agreement.
• Anthropic Claude API — AI analysis engine. Intake data is processed by Claude to produce report content. This is governed by Anthropic’s API data use policies, which do not permit training on API inputs.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising SDKs.

We use a single session cookie for admin authentication purposes only. This cookie is not used for tracking and is not shared with third parties. It expires after 8 hours.

We do not use persistent tracking cookies or third-party cookies.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, email team@valencedesk.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (TLS), access controls, and minimal data collection principles. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active clients of material changes via email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
